Hermitage of saint Onufry
Among the wild forests of Augustów Primeval Forest, near the Rudawka backwater, there is a hermitage. This place was furnished very modestly to reflect the local spirit. At the beginning we can see a wooden cabin-confessional. Then, a little further, there is a hermitage prepared for the volunteer who would like to sacrifice their life for God. Deep in the wild, where the only sign of life is the sound of undisturbed nature, the hermit can contemplate and live their modest life. Next to it, there is a hermitage station of the cross which is running through the special wooden catwalk in a swamp. At the end of it there is a beaver dam raised on Rudawka.
